Toronto Redhead Summit - 2010

08-21-10

Another redhead gathering in 2010's northern hemisphere's summer?  A day after the Red Head Convention in Ireland?  Can it be?

Yes, and it's thanks to two Toronto filmmakers, Aaron Champion and Gareth Scales, who are creating the Toronto Redhead Summit.  The two, having only recently met, fleshed out the idea for yet another redhead documentary to hit the world scene.  They figure that having a huge gathering in a park is the best way to interview many redheads for their film and let some redheads meet up.

After all, they point out the common - but mythical - legend that we're all going to disappear soon.  But it can't hurt to play things on the safe side, can it?

The duo started their page on Facebook, which has more details and the latest news, about their event and were very surprised by the publicity.  Over 200 are RSVPed on the page and the team also got some corporate sponsorship from redhead related companies.

Read the article on the InsideToronto.com site for more details.

The event is free and takes place from 2pm-5pm (EDT - Eastern Daylight Time) in Toronto's Trinity Bellwoods Park.  The redheads are free to mingle with each other, possibly get interviewed, and just have a good time!

Place: Trinity Bellwoods Park, Toronto, Canada

Time: Sunday, August 22, 2:00pm - 5:00pm (Eastern Daylight Time)
