Manly Sewing
Today I am going to be firing up the sewing machine in order to make adjustments on my daughters "Zombie Doctor" costume.
I don't know of many 4 year olds that will pass on the "cute" age specific costumes, and rush right over to the rotting flesh costumes created for an older age group.
But after all she's a Daddy's girl and since I love monster flicks, naturally so does she.
Enter the manly art of sewing, some may think that real men don't sew.
If you were ever in the military you quickly found out that this is not true, Momma was not there to do it for you.
And to make it seem more manly I could take a testosterone shot or performance enhancing whatever, open a can of beer, smoke a cigar, use a Binford model, modify it and give it more power, maybe a high lift cam and a blower (Uh-Uh-Uh).
A sewing machine in no way threatens my masculinity, that all went away when I became Mr Mom and needed to be the primary stay at home parent.
I can just as easily sew a straight seam as I did rebuilding a Chevy 327, macho-macho man has nothing to do with it.

I just read about a men's knitting club in my city. They said it was just like the women's club, "but with more cursing." :)
