Please read to learn about this group!

Thank you for joining the "Red Hair in Art" group!

The mission of this group is to gather, preserve, promote, and honor quality artwork representing red-haired subjects.

The charm and mystique of the red-haired subject has been acknowledged for hundreds of years.  Whereas we represent 2% of the population, I suspect we appear in more than 2% of the artwork!

Whereas the Gallery can be used to post standalone works of art, it is the FORUM itself that provides an environment to learn more about each individual piece, the artist, and to share one's impressions.

When submitting artwork through this group, the following guidelines will help provide a uniform, enriching experience for all.

  • Please only post PUBLIC DOMAIN artwork
  • In order to maintain the integrity of the group, it is best if we do not post artwork created by ourselves, friends, and family.
  • While Photography is an art form in its own right, it is not well-suited to this forum, unless it is of the highest quality and its artistic merit clearly distinguishes it in the field of photography.
  • Pornographic, obscene, lascivious, or tasteless material will not be tolerated.
  • Do not post an image in the gallery without posting a corresponding image in the forum, including at least the following information:  TITLE OF WORK (as the subject of the Topic),  and in the body of the post, include the ARTIST'S name, and YEAR OF WORK.   Please see existing posts as an example.
  • If you would like David to handle the details of posting the artwork in the forum and the gallery you can mail it to me. Email the photo (or a link to the photo) along with the required information (above), and I will handle the rest, with credit to you for the submission!

Thank you again for participating in RED HAIR IN ART!

When I was a kid, my dream was to be a farmer and marry Charlie Brown.
I wanted to rescue him and make him happy.
Besides, he was always lusting after the little redhead girl.
