I thought it might be interesting to know who is reading what right now. I am reading mainly the Decameron by Giovanni Boccaccio. When I am not reading that, I read Eleni by Nicholas Gage. Your turn

Right now I am reading Some works by Thomas Paine. They are good, and sadly still apply to todays political world.  I am also reading Lord of the Rings.  Its thick and taking me a long time, but I am finally on the last book.  Other than that I am thumping the Bible.  After I finish the Lord of the Rings I will give Harry Potter a go.  Love the movies, so I figure I would read the books too.

I am currently reading Louise Erdrich's The Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse.  It is very good and I also plan on reading her book Love Medicine. This weekend I am going to see Erdrich do a reading!  Maybe I'll even get one of my books signed!  : D

I am also reading plenty of textbooks for class...but Erdrich is the most interesting of them.

I'm nearly finished Gothic Charm School by Jillian Vintners (non-fiction, do's and don'ts re Gothic culture) which caught my eye in the Halloween display window at my local bookstore. It's partly for research for the book I'm writing, but interesting in its own right. After that, I'll start Wolf Hall by Hillary Mantel (fiction, 2009 Man Booker prize winner, set in Tudor England). I love the title.

I have begun to read; House of Leaves, Mark Z. Danielewski on recommendation. ( Thanks, Jenna) Clearly a very interesting book delving into facets of the unknown, It is allowing me a grasp on a perspective of life and wordcraft. The perspectives gained from this book thus far are ones reaching into the mind of a man dead.  Who had something to say, and yet nobody listened
