Beware the transposition at 2:43....
Also available in audio-only here: http://www.traxinspace.com/song/46123
So yea, my forum is now not just for reds who like computing...it for reds who also like tech stuff in general. Who cares about the host.. If it gets too much I'll either lose the forum or I'll pay depending how I feel.
I love the name of the sub-page that it is on:
hehe lol.
So if any of you fancy trying it out or whatever, just come have a look....just don't overload the server by coming along in vast numbers . I also don't really care too much about rules on the forementioned forum yet, 'cause it's not even established. Posted already are topics such as computing, gaming and star trek as well as something to do with the festival. But blah, most things are acceptable over there...except the usual things that are banned of course.

This hasn't got much of a video. It can also be previewed audio-only, and downloaded (as mp3), at: http://www.traxinspace.com/song/46090
Eh, those of you that know me will know about my amateur synth music creation. I play around with software synths and have done for 5 years, although I did change software this year.
Most of the stuff is created on a 'classic' synth, so it is kind of what you would think of first. The other set is made up of instrumental samples and these can be edited. I tested the limits of this today and got a few errors plus gained the knowledge that only one channel can be distorted, but also that then that channel's volume can't be changed.
I have a very repetitive style (one member there kindly informed me), which I already did know. But now I'm taking steps to prevent this and came out with a new one (I'm finding difficult to equalise) today.
The new one sounds a little weird, actually.
I now have synth music online. It can be found at: Vorta001 (direct link). Yes I am a fan of the Star Trek Vorta. Weyoun is my favourite. I have been called a Vorta before, probably because my hair is brown-ish, I'm pale and I have luminous eyes! Surely the attitude doesn't match though! (or does it?)
hehe.
Everything is happening right now! Site, forums, music, writing (router breaking down, but that's a negative...and no wonder with all this). It's amazing.

Well folks. My joyful internet surfing days have come to an end at the worst time. My modem/router will not switch on anymore (even though once a little flicker of light came from the ethernet area when I switched it on). I will try again tomorrow, but I really can't afford to pay £50 for a new box (and wait a week) or send it back (and wait 4 weeks....). I am on my expensive pay and surf vodafone usb, so I can't view videos and it charges me by the second (and blocks a lot of sites). It is terribly unreliable too, as we are not in a good 3G area. £15 for 1GB....not good for me. I hope my modem is just being temperamental and it switches on tomorrow....otherwise I'm doomed.
Edit: I've ordered a new router. Should be here in 3-5 days. It cost £62, but it is because my ISP requires certain settings so I had to find one of these elusive routers! I could have got the £32 one, but I'd rather pay more and get a better quality internet connection than suffer with a poor one. :) My ISP requires a security key only (WPA2-PSK), it doesn't have a sign-in page like my old ISP.

2010-06-21: Links at the lower part of this page to my main site and the forum for redheads who love computers! It is also for those non-redheads who like computing, but who also admire redheads.
I took what JP said and finally found a way to use a site in order to spread the news for the event. I have a premium domain....my own....so this should be great as long as it isn't ranked too high on a google search when google finds it. See, it's a free host so I can't have floods of visitors.
It's nothing flash, just basic information on the homepage....and I also took on the task of advertising sponsorship, plus just general spreading the word.
The nameservers were not having any of it at first
, but then I changed my tired, holiday brain into my technical mind and sorted it out. B)
Awesome news. I am also following redhead-world on youtube, with the commons page (it's a little nickname I created for my site a while back....it really does store just links and stuff on other pages!....hehe).
So I'll see you all around later when I finally get some sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep....the cat is snoring (lol...she really is) ....I think I should go and get some rest too. If I can stop listening to this awesome music....and here's hoping I don't have a dream about NAMESERVERS!
This is good news right....(don't bring me down now!
)
LATER ALL!

Go to the forums link....then click on the link on that page named 'visit here'. It takes you to my small forum. Woohoo!
Abstract: Yeah, what the title says ^^^^.
(if you can't be bothered reading the rest!)
Elaboration: But seriously, I'm kinda stuck on my other two projects, both which I started in 2006. The third one I started early this year, but stopped adding to it because I ran out of ideas and wasn't sure exactly where I wanted to lead it. Maybe university taking over my schedule in February was also to blame! After all, I had a lot of essays and coursework already...who really would want to write more?
The 2nd one I started writing has a bit of a paranormal storyline. I don't think this could really go anywhere as it's not really for any age group. There is some suggested violence, though not graphic, although the main story would be aimed at around the same age as Harry Potter was (see where the issue is? They had a few problems with classifying that, publishing the books was also difficult). I am also out of ideas for this one.
The first was pretty much a pet project which I enjoyed writing in 2004. I developed the whole idea and wrote more of a storyline in 2006, although it really falls into the category of 'fictional biography'. It is really about a set of unidentical twins, the twin bond etc and some events which affect them throughout their lives. I even devised a 2nd follow-up story, but writing for the 'big screen' isn't exactly wise. It was the only one of my pet projects to become something bigger (to me, anyway) and the whole story started off as just one of multiple fictional biographies I wrote. I just love to describe things, which made me an absolute star in English class (this is where I found I had a talent for imaginative writing....at about age 15). Doesn't really help you expand the story though. Oh and the twins thing- I was a twin myself...but never really got to experience the bond thing. I did see it in my two twin older friends though...met one of them when he was a supply teacher at my high school, next thing I knew I had met his (identical!) twin brother on the bus during the Summer break. If I hadn't lost contact, we would still be friends (he was one of those rebel-type teachers who talked to the kids just outside of school hours - long story).
The third one is controversial in some ways. I could expand on it to make it an absolutely pristine piece of descriptive/imaginative writing, maybe suitable for 13+, or I could take it down into alternate routes to make it more worthy of attention. I published some of it here, those of you who saw would know I am big on my imaginative descriptions and poetry....but I had to remove some of it, through decency. I could create 3 different versions of this one, just to access a larger range of people, but I am worried about the 'featured character' who happens to be a real person. I wouldn't want to cause any problems there. If it wasn't for this, then great! I would be able to publish this somewhere online right away. I would want to publish this in future anyway, as it involved a lot of effort and I really did spend a lot of time on it. I did not put names in it, so that should be alright; but asking will still be required. I also would not want it to become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
So many problems when writing. I have definitely chosen the right genre, just that there isn't much of an audience...or if there is, there is always another reason not to publish!
But anyhow, I still have some writing in the blog....mainly from January and such. That's evidence of how I use way too much vocabulary and really try to give it a nice, shiny finish.. maybe I should just release the work without concentrating on making it all into some kind of novel? After all, sometimes good things are found in small creations!
Whoa....never knew this was *out there*

(my reaction).
