Account Home
Your "My Account" | Account Home page is the first page you see when you login. Most importantly it shows your member information and new contacts (messages, guestbook greetings, etc.) It also shows your profile and regular photo galleries, forums posts, site news and statistics, your groups, and your friends. The menu options control your account and show various statistics.
My Photo Gallery
Clicking on this section takes you to your profile photo gallery. This is a seperate photo gallery from the standard photo gallery. Profile photos show up at the top of your profile and are rateable by default. Photos placed in this section will be shown in the Members | Rate Photos section. You can choose one of the photos to be the main profile photo. This photo will also be your avatar icon.
Member Info
This section shows the type of account you have. To become an "Active" member you must confirm your account from the link provided in your confirmation e-mail. This e-mail was sent to the address you signed up with. If you did not get this e-mail, then please contact support.
Contacts
The Contacts section is the most important part of the Account Home page. It shows new and unread messages, greetings, hotlistings, blockers, guestbook entries, or friend requests. The links will take you to the new entries.
You can change your e-mail notification settings for all types of notifications by clicking the "Go to Your Notification Settings" button in the top right of the Contacts box. There you can choose between getting notifications for the various types of activities from either "everyone" of just from "friends."
My Membership
Currently there are not different levels of membership, so this page is unused.
My Settings
On this page, you can change your e-mail and password. You can even change your username, though it is not recommended as people will lose track of you. The rest of the settings are profile details. Required settings are marked with a red asterisk. All of these settings are searchable either through Members | Search or Members | Advanced Search. Text fields can be searched by the "keyword" field in searches. Be sure to click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page to save changes.
My Contacts
The My Account | My Contacts page shows all of your contacts, and therefore might take some time to load. The sections are:
- Members You Have Hotlisted (favorited)
- Members You Have Invited (to be friends - they haven't responded yet)
- Members You Have Blocked
- Members You Have Greeted
- Members You Have Viewed (viewed their profile)
- The date that you last viewed their profile is listed.
- Sorted in descending order by date viewed and alphabetically by username.
- Members You Were Hotlisted By
- Members You Were Invited By (to be friends)
- Members You Were Blocked By
- Members You Were Greeted By
- Also shows number of greetings and date of most recent greeting.
- Members You Were Viewed By (visitors to your profile)
- The date that you were last viewed by them is listed.
- Sorted in descending order by date viewed and alphabetically by username.
- Friend List
Each entry has shortcut buttons at the right for sending a private message or greeting to the user. Each section has checkboxes or options to "check all" and buttons to greet, block, remove, etc.
Unregister
This page has a button to "delete account." Be careful!
All of your data will be deleted and generally unrecoverable. Blogs, photos, etc. will be deleted. Forum posts, blog comments, and photo comments that you have posted will still be available but will be attributed to "Anonymous."
We really don't want to see you go and would really like to hear your reasons for leaving if you choose to do so. Remember that if you are being harassed then please report it to the admins.
