Members
All Members
Browse all the members with the oldest shown first. Those with photos are shown before those without profile photos. The filter can be used to show only members of a particular gender or age range.
Search
Basic search has four ways to search for members. You can search by numeric id, partial or full member nickname, or profile tag. The simple search itself allows searching based on any combination of gender, age range, country, online status, photo, or keyword. Keywords are searched for in any text section of profiles.
Online
The online status page shows which members are online. Each member's profile photo and name are shown along with a short description and match percentage (described later in this section). There are shortcuts for greeting, messaging, and favoriting a user. There is the instant message (IM) option to initiate a instant messenging conversation with an online user as well.
My Friends
Shows all members you are friends with.
Hot or Not
This page randomly choose profile pictures and asks you to rate them. Once rated, the photo will be shown with a link to the member's profile page as well as a new photo to rate.
Advanced Search
The advanced search features many more options in addition to the basic search. Members can search for other members based on hair color, eye color, height, body type, languages, smoking and drinking habits, education, profession, employment status, interests, living situation, kids situation, pet situation, religion, and politics.
Saving a Search
If you would like to save a search for later use, simply bookmark the search result page in your web browser.
Match Percent
The match percent provides a rough estimate of how much you have in common with the listed member. Since it is an estimate, it may vary from query to query even with no changes to either profile. While some emphasis is placed on romantic posibilities, the match percent includes general interests so it can also indicate if you would have more in common with a potential friend than another.
If a given section is not filled out on either profile, the match for that portion is considered zero.
The estimate roughly is weighted on these criteria:
- Sex - 13%
- Looking For - 13%
- Orientation - 10%
- Interests - 10%
- Smoking - 8%
- Country - 7%
- Want Kids - 7%
- Language - 5%
- Seeking For - 4%
- Drink - 4%
- Province - 3%
- Have Kids - 3%
- Pets Have - 3%
- Pets Want - 3%
- Religion - 3%
- Body Type - 1%
- Education - 1%
- Profession - 1%
- Politics - 1%
